About me

I am a certified psychologist and CBT specialist. I have always viewed psychology not only as a profession and a body of theoretical knowledge, but also as something very practical that, simply put, helps us live better. This knowledge and these skills have also helped me personally cope with life’s difficulties and be a better mother to my children.
I believe that one of the main goals of therapy is to reduce suffering and help a person live a life worth living. There can be different paths toward this. In the course of therapy, we can become more aware of our automatic ways of reacting, learn to regulate our emotions, and act differently. We can identify past traumatic experiences, process them, and live more fully. We can also reexamine the beliefs and values we have acquired over the course of life, asking ourselves whether they are truly our own and whether we want to continue living by them. And sometimes therapy can simply be that one hour a week that we can devote entirely to ourselves.

Professional Experience

I began my professional career more than 20 years ago, initially working as a psychologist at a psychiatric clinic and later in the field of crisis therapy. I have worked both as a psychologist and as the head of a crisis center, a position I held for five years. Since 2008, I have also worked in my own private practice.
Throughout my professional career, I have not only worked with people facing difficult life situations, but have also led various projects and developed new services. Some of the initiatives I started continue to operate today. I have conducted training in crisis psychology, parenting skills development, and other areas.
Currently, in my private practice, I work both individually and with couples. The experience I have gained has given me a broader perspective on people’s difficulties and the ability to recognize them in different contexts.
My Approach

The ideas of humanistic psychology are close to me, based on the belief that a person is the best expert on their own life. Through genuine attentiveness, acceptance, and empathy, together with their professional knowledge, a psychologist or psychotherapist can support the client in their process of growth.
It is important to me that clients feel emotionally safe, accepted, and understood when talking with me.

My professional and also personal outlook was significantly shaped by my first advanced training, in systemic family therapy. It taught me to view a person not only as an individual, but also more broadly – to better understand the various systems we live in and how they affect us.

Not everything that happens to us in life depends only on ourselves. Life is not always fair, and sometimes a person has to face circumstances they did not choose. Seeing this bigger picture, I believe, allows us to look at ourselves too with more realism, understanding, and compassion.
The second major influence on my professional development has been cognitive behavioral therapy and schema therapy. These approaches have given me an understanding that we can learn skills that help us regulate emotions more effectively, change habitual patterns of thinking and behavior, and gain greater inner freedom.
